Overview

In today's environment, users of financial information demand greater reliability. At GEMRT we go beyond historical data — we address what decision-makers actually need to interpret performance and plan the next move.

Senior partners and managers are directly involved in planning, preparing, and reviewing financial statements and audits. That means faster cycles, fewer surprises, and deliverables that hold up to any level of scrutiny — from lenders to the SEC to cross-border regulators.

  • Businesses seeking a firm where partners stay involved — not a rotating junior staff

How we work

Every GEMRT engagement follows a consistent pattern: a scoping conversation with a partner, a written engagement letter with clear deliverables and fees, and partner-level involvement throughout. You will not be handed off to rotating junior staff once the engagement letter is signed.

For ongoing work, we recommend quarterly touchpoints so planning opportunities are caught early and surprises are avoided. For project work, we scope tightly, execute, and move on.

Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between an audit, review, and compilation?

An audit provides the highest level of assurance and includes testing of account balances, internal controls, and supporting documentation. A review is a limited-scope engagement providing moderate assurance, typically sufficient for lenders and some stakeholders. A compilation presents financial information in the proper format without assurance. GEMRT helps clients choose the right level based on who uses the financial statements and what they require.

Do you perform ERISA employee benefit plan audits?

Yes. GEMRT conducts audits of employee benefit plans subject to ERISA requirements, including limited-scope and full-scope audits of 401(k), pension, and welfare plans.

Can GEMRT audit companies outside the United States?

Yes. The firm serves clients across the U.S., Latin America, and Europe and regularly coordinates audit engagements involving foreign operations and multi-currency consolidations.
